Teachers Are Not Always Correct
When I was at school we had a very strict English teacher. Every day he would drum into us "spelling is the most thing important thing in the English language". Some bad spellings were met with either detention or a light tap from his size 12 slipper. I spent years on paying particular attention to spelling. What a waste of time when I can read the following passage with no problem.

This was one of the reasons that I posted the paragraph. According to the research, unsubstantiated I might add, only 55 people in 100 would be able to understand it.
Sorry, but I agree with your teacher, and if it makes you feel better, you did not waste your time.
Remember how English has all those crazy words pronounced the same but spelled differently? You can drive someone mad by not spelling the correct one.

and I really could not read the phonetic gibberish you made of a language I love (even if it can be eccentric occasionally) -- guess I am retarded in reading phonetics!
just my opinion for what it's worth. 
In my opinion, spanish, (and french) are much more dependent on spelling, accents and conjugation than english.
In Spanish the conjugation determines the "actor" and the"recipient". The accents give sense to the phrase or sentence.
It may be because my native language is english that I too can make sense of the paragraph in the question above, but I sincerely doubt I could do it in spanish.
In conclusion I would add " if it is worth doing it is worth doing right" ,or at least as right as one is able.

Actually, for me, Spanish does!! and that is a statement I make knowing full well that Spanish is written as it is spoken. But I sometimes wonder if I will have to have heard everything there is to hear before I will understand anything I hear in Spanish.
In fairness, it is getting easier..And reading is, of course, very easy. The word is right there written down for a body and one can just look the unknown words up.
So can I But we should first know the spelllings to be able to read this in this way other wise I think we wouldn't know which language is this.

Wow I never thought I could read this but it's very easy and I read it just like any other answer with no problems!

There are a lot of words where simply changing one letter changes it to another word. If you re reasonably fluent in the language, you can easily fix the typos using context. If you are not, you have to look up every word in the dictionary and puzzle over the mystery sentence. Natural languages tend to be highly redundant in order to facilitate this error correction, but simple errors still slip by. This phenomenon is the source of many jokes and puns.
Texting is doing to language what calculators did to math many years ago.

Actually, I did mean what calculators did to mathematics. The direct effect was to no longer be able to do arithmetic, but the knowledge of how to do arithmetic is the foundation for the conceptual understanding of abstract algebra, number theory, analysis, and other branches of mathematics.
The direct effect of texting is horrible spelling and punctuation. The more advanced aspects of language are like a tree that cannot grow without these roots. I would be surprised if someone were to text War and Peace, but I fear that the texting generation won't even be able to read it, much less write works that capture their own era.

racing through this as normal . Unfortunately I thought you were writing this
in your" London twang " or slang, What a pleasant surprise when I reread your first
paragraph which explained it thoroughly to me. That is the problem when one
reads fast one tends to miss so much, and is probably one of the many reasons that I am such a dreadful speller I am trying to break myself of this habit.
