Can a missile get tired?

They just said the missile would tire out before reaching it's target with cansar, (sorry I don't remember the wording) can you use it like that? For a non human? Gracias.

If you check a Spanish dictionary, you'll see that "agotarse" is used for energy and substances (and even patience and other abstract "possessions") that are totally consumed or exhausted. "Cansarse", on the other hand, is all about living beings running out of strength or patience, plus forcing the soil to produce too many crops, so it becomes useless.

I spent 24 years in the military. In English, the term usually used would be that the missile "flamed out" before reaching the target. A jet that has exhausted its fuel "flames out" as well. So I think Lazarus would be correct, (as he usually is).

"Tire out" can be translated as "agotarse", which is fine for the fuel of a missile, but not "cansarse".
