policiaco o policíaco
In Span!shD!ct I saw this:
policiaco, -a, policíaco, -a adjective also: * película/novela policiaca -> detective film/novel
Are they both correct? I mean with and without acento?

I prefer the accented version. And I´ll always pronounce it that way: po-li-cí-a-co
But DRAE needs to sell dictionaries desperately, so they change the rules to include well-documented mistakes as ignoring an accented diphthong that implies a hiatus.
Other examples:
amoníaco
demoníaco
paradisíaco
I think that in América we write and pronounce more: policiaco, whereas policíaco is more used in Spain.
Both are accepted by the RAE.
policíaco, ca o policiaco, ca.
adj. Perteneciente o relativo a la policía.
adj. Dicho de una obra literaria o cinematográfica: Cuyo tema es la búsqueda del culpable de un delito.
