I hate to burst your bubble. In as much as advertising is distracting it also pays for maintaining the site (I am a user like you and do not work for this website, just in case). Without online sponsors no website can survive unless they receive grants from government agencies or the private sector. Hang in there. After 4,000 points you are supposed to see fewer ads.

I find the advertisements are not too distracting. I am happy to be able to learn Spanish for free thanks to the advertisements and Spanish Dict.

Download Firefox, then install the adblock plugin. You will have an ad-free internet (no ads on any website), then.

Firefox es navegador como Internet Explorer. Sí, debes instalarlo en tu computadora. Firefox, por sí solo, no bloquea anuncios...debes añadir adblock a él para hacer eso. - webdunce, Jan 27, 2011

If you are the genius who can eliminate the advertisements by finding different way to financially support the SpanishDict site, I am sure they will elect you President of our country! As much as we all dislike them, they allow this site to exist.
