Сabriolas de “miedo”

Hello! I have here another question related to the aviation topic. You were so kind to help me with the prevoius one, so I do hope, you can do it once more. The sentence is here:

"Una mañana llega un “Chato” haciendo cabriolas de “miedo” y aterrizó."

Chato is a biplane fighter but I cannot think what it was doing before landing. I do grasp that the plane was doing some kind of aerial stunts, but which ones? What do cabriolas de “miedo” mean? Is it a specific stunt or a general name for all of them? Any ideas?

Thanks for any help!

hi there, you have to choose between "once more" and "one more time" ;) - chicasabrosa, Jan 27, 2011
Thanks! The matter is I'm not a native speaker so sometimes it happens :) BTW, I loved your explanation! Thanks once more ;) - Aksioma, Jan 28, 2011

Hi Aksioma,

According to my dictionary, "de miedo" means "really great" or "awesome", so the stunts must have been awesome.
