Antes pensaba que no me gustaban los niños porque no me gustaba el comportamiento de algunos; pero luego me di cuenta de algo: No hay niños maleados, sino padres que los malean.

Before, I thought I didn't like children because I didn't like the behavior of some, but then I noticed something: spoiled children don't exist, cause it's parents that make them spoiled.

Very good sentence, culé! :) Just a suggestion for the last part: "que los hacen así" is weird... seems like : "que los hacen maleados", and that's not correct. - cogumela, Jan 27, 2011
i'd suggest, maybe : No hay niños maleados, sino padres que los malean, or No hay niños maleados , hay padres que hacen que sus hijos se maleen. Well done, though. Congrats :) - cogumela, Jan 27, 2011

Sorry, but maleada does not fit here, theresa :) - cogumela, Jan 27, 2011
I think this would translate into "leche derramada", or something like that. I'm not sure.... - cogumela, Jan 27, 2011
Sorry, I meant milk that had gone bad, and is no longer drinkable. I looked around a bit, I think it should be "leche agriado". - theresa5, Jan 27, 2011

El poder- power is not capitalized- tiende a corromper/malear. I woudn't translate "great men" into "grandes hombres", because it implies honesty in Spanish. I'd say, maybe "los poderosos" or "los hombres con poder" Good, timmys! :) - cogumela, Jan 27, 2011

By individual I mean the person who is part of the community, as in a leader, or even a member. - Maria-Russell, Jan 27, 2011
Yes, but unfortunatelly, individual doesn't mean that in Spanish. The nouns are: individuo, or individualidad. Individual is an adjective and shouldn't be used in that way. - cogumela, Jan 27, 2011
: ) Thanks, cogu; Individuo will work. - Maria-Russell, Jan 27, 2011
