I've been told amigos is not really used, what is the best word to use to say "What's up guys"? I use, chavos, chavales, amigos, tíos, tipos, sujetos (not too much though), chulos, chuletas (mostly for women) and manos (not too much) and that's about it. One is better than another? Especially for Mexico use. Gracias.

Cuate, carnal are two that come to mind from México. Pana in Venezuela. Ché in Argentina.
