"the court"
I've got some doubt of how best to translate "the court" in this context. I've got a few ideas but would really appreciate any comments on which sounds most fitting.
.
"The court may take into account an early guily plea."
.
"Puede ser que _____ tome en cuenta una declaración adelantada de 'culpable'."
or
"Puede ser que _____ tome en cuenta una declaración previa de culpabilidad."
.
(I would like to get accross that this refers to 'the court' in the sense of 'the judicial process' rather than the actual courtroom.)
.
- la justicia
- el juez
- el juzgado
- el tribunal
.
Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated as always.

I would say el tribunal
And I would also say una declaración previa de culpabilidad.
The choices listed are technical legal terms and are directly related to the country in which the court is located, and the judicial system of that country. An attorney from the country in question is the only one qualified to answer this issue in this forum.
I think I would go for el Tribunal but better wait for someone who actually knows what they're talking about, lol ![]()
"Puede ser que el tribunal tome en cuenta una declaración previa de culpabilidad."
