Inexpensive Travel for Speaking Practice

I'm looking for a way to immerse myself in a Spanish Speaking environment, safely and inexpensively. I am an adult learner, and I don't need college credits. I would prefer to make arrangements through an organization that I trust, but not necessarily one that costs a fortune.
Any leads?

If you live in the US, your cheapest option is Mexico, or even a Hispanic neighborhood.
