India's Republic day

Question

Hi friends,

Today is India's 62nd Republic day. It was on this day in 1950 that our constitution came into effect. Its one of our national holidays.

When I was in school, we used to go to school for flag hoisting, but now in work there is no such a thing in our office. A live telecast of Flag hoisting in our country's capital New Delhi will be on television with parade and function. Apart from the flag hoisting ceremony in our national capital, we also have the parade and flag hoisting in each of the state and union territory capitals.

We have a chief guest from outside our country in our national capital. Indians living abroa can participate in flag hoisting ceremony in the Indian embassies in countries they are in. In all its a colourful day for us today.
