Niñera VS ninera

So "niñera" is nanny, babysitter, but look at our definition of ninera with no ñ. Ninera - One who is fond of children, or who delights in childish tricks; a dandler. What the heck is a dandler? That doesn't sound good at all.

Never without the ñ.. Trouble is most search engines will default to an n for lack of the letter ñ.

Agreed. I'm sure you know how to double-check against the R A E by now, Jezzle. Ninera is not a Spanish word. - Gekkosan, Jan 25, 2011
