At work, something I heard, I'll try to find a babysitter.

I asked the busgirl, could she work on Sat night to help us out with the rolling of the sticks? And she said "Voy a buscarlo a mis niños". I figured "I'll try to find a babysitter" but seems odd with "a'" and just "buscarlo"? That's all that's needed to express it? Gracias.

She could have meant she couldn't because she had to pick up her kids?

Maybe she did she "voy a buscar a una niñera". I haven't used the word niñera before.
