chicle means bubble gum. I don't know what they meant by that...that you'll be stuck together? It doesn't sound romantic or nice at all, sorry :D
Dakie and Usarenzo are along the right lines.
You don't say where the original writer is from, and I'm not sure in how many countries this idiom has the same connotation, but where I grew up, "ser un chicle" meant that you tended to stick to people in general, or someone in particular - like a well-chewed piece of gum.
As Usarenzo indicates, the connotation is often negative, because it means that you are clingy; sticky to the point of being annoying.
Nevertheless, the writer here seems to think this is cute ("eso es muy lindo"), so at least in this case, the idea that someone wants to stick to someone else is not perceived as something unpleasant.

I have also heard that Chicle became popular after Adam's Chiclets were launched in the market. In Latin America people opted for pronouncing it as chicle(s).
As far as being called a chicle, the connotation is bad. It means you're stuck like glue to the other person (like sewn at the hip). Hope this helps.
"Chicle" is a gum from the latex of the sapodilla used as the chief ingredient in chewing gum.
That definition does not make sense in that phrase. The reference must have a regional meaning.
