how do you say "I like him very much"?, would it be "lo me gusta mucho"?

You could say, "Me gusta mucho él." Under many circumstances, simply "Me gusta mucho" will work.

In the Spanish, you are actually saying "He is really pleasing to me."

All about gustar.

Depends on how you like him. "Me gusta mucho" means you are into him. Since I sense you are male, then that would mean you are gay. Otherwise, me cae bien like it is stated above.

él me cae muy bien. You can't use "lo me gusta" because lo is a direct object pronoun, and DOPs never are the subject of the sentence (OBJECT pronoun). You have to use the idomatic expression "me/te/le/nos/os/les caer bien."
