These sound better to me but not sure if yours is correct. Anyone else have opinions?

Is this accurate grammatically?

Los muchachos fueron a las montañas cada invierno.

Because you saying "always," you are indicating habitual action in the past. So it should be "Siempre comíamos helado en el verano."

And "Nosotros" is redundant because the conjugation of the verb "Comer" reflects which person. However its use is OK if you are emphasizing "We" as opposed to someone else.
