Taking things for granted...Our Jenny (nametaken) saw the stars today:)
Some of the usual suspects on Skype are fairly new to the forum, like Hotchick, our Cassy
, Chris (Chruhlman) and some more, who have asked me about this , I posted this on the International Café the other day![]()
[13:06:56] Jen: nunca vas a creer lo que he hecho
[13:07:22] Jen: fui en la silla de ruedas anoche
[13:07:38] torrtuga: wow wow wow
[13:07:41] torrtuga: major WOW
[ [13:07:52] Jen: estuve en el salón
Some don't know the story, so they thought something had happened to her instead of celebrating the news...well, this is her story.
Nametaken (Picture of the Day) Has ME, and has been in bed for over three years. The last few months she went through a very tough treatment and as it seems...things are working out.
I cannot express how happy we are, those who know her personally through talking to her on skype and those who don't know her so well, I think I am speaking in everybody's name here, we are just sooo excited. ![]()

Please read what she just told me on skype, this is so exciting and shows how many things we take for granted in life! Some people never get to leave the house, even as young as Jenny and never see the stars...the other day she was her dogs P L A Y!!!
Let's all rejoice and try not to take things so much for granted![]()

Thank you everyone for such lovely comments
. I am so excited about this and I'm so glad that I'm able to share it with my SpanishDict family! It was so amazing to be able to go out and see the stars! They're so beautiful jeje, I'd forgotten how lovely they are. The really amazing thing is, is that in November a specialist came to see me and told me it would be a year before I was able to get out of bed and sit up! So although I still can't fully sit up, I'm waaaay ahead of schedule! Your support and constant encouragement has helped to make this possible. Thank you very much
.

We all are very happy for you.
y ahora,... ¡a por la luna!

Jenny!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish you a very speedy recovery. I wish you could soon come out of your country and meet me
.
Wow - this is so cool!! I am so happy that Jen is getting better - and it must be a great great feeling to be able to go outside after being inside for three years!! (even if it is cold - ha ha)
I can't get over how positive Jen's attitude is about everything - and it something that we all can use - next time you get down or want to complain about some meaningless thing, just think of Jen's positive attitude!! ![]()
Fantastic news, and I'm thrilled to have chatted with her today for a bit. What an extraordinary girl. We love you Jen!!!
Outstanding! Bendito sea el Todopoderoso!
Blessed be God!
Hi Jen, we added you to the chat. Heidita told us all about your good news. Some people left you a message. We are so happy about your progress. There are three new native speakers in the chat! We were all very excited!
I just came home and wanted to get my "fix" of SD and saw this thread. I am so blessed to know this youngin' (southern word) and I am so pysched she got outside to enjoy the sites, smells, and sounds, etc of the world. What a gift she is to me (and the community of course).
Great news Heidi and thanks so much for sharing!
I am soooo happy for Jen! That must have been amazing!
To go outside.....to have a pet by your side.....to see the stars...
Jen you certainly have the gift of seeing the true beauty of these fabulous things....
What a wonderful opportunity! Maybe you'll change your avatar to beautiful star gazer! Just kidding, Jen!
