This is supposed to be child proof, but my five year old is the only one who can open it.

When I open the door will it set-off a chain-reaction? tongue wink smile LOL

Con correciones;

Editors notes: 1 When I looked-up the phrase 'set-off' in my Oxford Spanish Dictionary it gave me two options for the implied meaning of: to activate (an alarm) these are hacer and sonar

2 I am not sure which verb form I should use/have used following the word¿Cuándo.......? Should I have used the infinitive: abrir (the personal form for 1st person: abro) or the subjunctive: abra ? Please give me clear reasons for why the particular correct form you give me is right!

Good, Feliz! - cogumela, Jan 22, 2011
Clear reasons? Well, subjunctive is the only option here. To explain this clearly could take me hours... - cogumela, Jan 22, 2011

This is the door to the closet where the woman keeps her cigarettes. She's trying to quit smoking and needs a few minutes to remember her goal.

Ah forget it! I'll just use the window instead.

John realized this was a poor idea when he ran to escape the robbers waiting for him in his house but couldn't get the door open in time.
