hi people, is there anyone who can recommend me some A-level spanish books? Not grammar but reading books. Maybe you've read before and learned a lot.

A-level to me would be Advanced level, but your title says for beginners. Are you talking about beginning level vocabulary? Say, juvenile reading level chapter books? I've got lots of those.

Here are some of the one's that I find readily available in Spanish and under $5.

Junie B Jones Series (less than 100 pages. ea)

Scooby Doo Mysteries (around 100 pages ea)

Los Osos Scouts Berenstain Series (around 100-150 pages ea)

Misterios del faro de Mystic Series (around 100-150 pg ea.)

  • Escalofrios (Goosbump) Series (around 100-150 pg ea)
  • Fear Street Series
  • Horrorlandia Series

I also have a bunch of non-series books, but they are harder to find. The series books are readily available on eBay, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com, etc.

(If it were not for the Jehovah Witnesses giving me copies of their magazines and books in Spanish I would probably have no adult level reading material).

for Qfreed- I pick-up all the bulletins from my library in Spanish, and Comcast has now started sending me thier adverts in Spanish (are they monitoring my internet use?). - Stadt, Jan 19, 2011
Who isn't monitoring your internet use might be a better question. - 0074b507, Jan 19, 2011

I agree with the suggestion for children's books. I read a lot of them when I was a beginner. Once you have a somewhat higher level, about 8th grade, try easy magazines like Reader's Digest Selecciones and People en español.
