Las niñas de estas edades se dejan influir fácilmente. Se dejan influir? Girls of these ages can be easily influenced. Can let themselves fall under some influence? The se is attached to dejar and not influir here right? Let themselves BE influenced? Maybe it's attached to influir and changes it from "to influence" to "to be influenced" like SE often does. ¿Que creen?

The literal translation is "they let themselves be influenced". In English we'd probably say something like: "girls of that age can be easily influenced".

So it's influir accessing the intransitive form using SE right, to go from "to influence" to "to be influenced" like "ofender", "ofenderSE" which insultar can't do, doesn't have an intransitive in that way like ofender, but most of them do, like "asustar" and "enojar" to GET mad, as opposed to be mad. "No te enojes" "No te asustes" "No te ofendas" and mostly here "No te influyas" which our dictionary does not list as a definition available. Gracias.
