Armar - to set up
So armar, to arm, seems to be able to mean "to set up a campsite" - armar un campamento. What if I wanted to set up a computer? ¿Puedo armar el computadora aquí en esta mesa? Does that work? Gracias.

The verb comes from Latin "armare", meaning "equipment, arms, gear", and longer before that, apparently "to fit, to join", since weapons have to be mounted. Similarly, you can mount (armar) pieces of furniture, puzzles, and most items that have interconnected parts. However, I suppose you'll hear other verbs used much more often than this one with computers: "montar", "ensamblar"...
Yep, armar una computadora is all good, I think it can mean assemble too though, better check that one?
