Would you check my subjunctive?

Would you check my subjunctive?

I'm trying to get my hands on any and all subjunctive practice I can find in my old Spanish textbooks, but before I delve into it more, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to check over this exercise.

I know it's redundant, I'm sorry! I promise I won't clog up the forum with my redundant subjunctive practice!

Well done!

Let me give you a rule that works practically 100% of the time: you never use Z in verbs if you can use C. Both "lancen" and "lanzen" sound the same, so the odds are in favour or "lancen". A different thing is when you have verbs like "vencer", where "venzo" has a sound that cannot be matched with "venco", so the Z is necessary. Think of the letter Z as a last resource letter, used only with ZA, ZO and ZU in conjugations.

This rules practically applies to all words, but outside the verbs there are a few minor exceptions.

Thank you for the reminder, Lazarus! I think that's one of the rules I remember about 80% of the time...now I need to work on making it 100! - mapletw, Jan 16, 2011
