Haber + present participle VS something else + participle

When would I use Haber + present participle VS another verb + present participle.

For example. Should I use "La pintor Antonio han llamado por otros "guy" " or should I say "La pintor Antonio fue llamado por otros "guy" ".

Which do I use? and when?

llamado is the past participle of llamar, not the present participle or gerundio. - 0074b507, Jan 15, 2011
Edited "I" - Please use proper grammar and capitalization. Many students are learning English here. Thanks. - pesta, Jan 15, 2011

El pintor Antonio ha sido llamado por otros "Guy".

Haber + the past participle is used to form the perfect (compund) tenses (present, past, future, conditional perfect)

Your example is the present perfect [antepasado] of the indicative mood.

El pintor Antonio fue llamado por otros "Guy"

Ser+the past participle is used to form the passive voice (past tense, indicative in your example).

pintor masculine and feminine noun

"haber" is used with past participles to form perfect tenses (present, past [pluperfect], and future) and is equivalent to the have / had / will have done (something) of English. Forms of "estar" are used with the present participle to form progressive (aka "continuous) tenses is / was / will be doing (something) as in English.

The "fue llamado" of your example sentence is the classic passive construction in Spanish. Of your two sentences the second is almost correct as it stands (it should be "el pintor") The first should also have "el pintor" but the syntax needs some fixing up. (e.g. Al pintor Antonio [otros] le han llamado "guy".)

( Edit) Oops, left out the conditional when mentioning constructions with "haber" but never fear, Quentin is near.
