It's misspelled, it has to be a que, which means "in order to", and enfrían should be enfríen

They are supposed to be correct, but they are mostly written by native English speakers so they occasionally could be wrong, if that happens you can report it with someone with an administration profile. On the other hand, the word maybe appears different in the dictionary because there are several words with different meanings in many Languages, in that case maybe you can't find some of the meanings you are looking fo or you have to search in a most advanced Dictionary. smile

Or, perhaps, "hasta que" and the word was truncated.

In todays word of the day thread, both gekkosan and cogumela indicate they have never heard of this usage either.

from: DICCIONARIO DE LA LENGUA ESPAÑOLA - Vigésima segunda edición

DRAE: balata

Artículo propuesto para ser suprimido.

Avance de la vigésima tercera edición

balata1.

(Del it. ballata).

Also here is the direct link to the word of the day with the sentence in question: Word of the day

I am not sure if this provides useful additional information, but here it is for what it is worth.

Pamchal took the sentence straight from the word of the day. Should those not already be correct? Also as a side note, the word of the day is 'las balatas' but if you punch that into the Dictionary, it cannot be found. ¿Por qué?

To add to the confusion, the WOTD email also has the example phrase, "Debes cambiar tus frenos y BALARAS cada 20.000 millas."
