How to translate "las dos" in the following sentence?

"Un poco de queso para picar las dos."

Setting: Two women are in a restaurant and one of them orders cheese.

Is the answer "for both of us"? Or?

picar means to have something to start with, or a tapa or something.

Para las dos: for both of us, meaning they share that dishwink

Right. Something like "we'd like the cheese starter to share". - Gekkosan, Jan 14, 2011

You can use the translator on this site to translate simple sentences, then post your results back on the forum if you have questions.

I believe "para los ambos de nosotros" is a literal translation, but I don't know if the expression is common in the culture.

You might want to wait for a native speaker or advanced member to respond.

Hope that helps. Welcome to the forum!
