How would you say "a developed character" ?

I want to describe a round character meaning a character who has developed throughout a story. How would I say this? Un personaje desarrollado and un personaje profundo are my best guesses. Thanks

I'm not sure - you might be able to say un carácter bien redondeado, but I'm probably making that up, lol. I think 'completo' is often used in this manner too, un carácter completo. How about bien formado or bien definido?
