Why don't you go on the Phrasebook on this site? Many of the idioms you are asking about are in there.
Go to the top blue bar and pull down on "More". Click "Phrasebook" and then type in your phrase under "search". For some of these phrases there are several options.
I do not recall if "bottleneck" is in there, but that is a direct translation - "cuello de botella" - at least in Mexico.
1-place something on someone's doorstep
2.-make waves: to stir up trouble. to make an impact!
3.-a bottleneck: in a tight situation with little room to move
4.-to cut corners: to try to save money or other resources by compromising safety
5.-make do = to manage with whatever resources you have (most common meaning!) /or, to cope with a situation in which you find yourself
6.-in the same boat: to be in the same situation as someone else
7.-pain in the neck - someone who is a 'pain in the neck' is a real nuisance
8.-in his face:
9.-between a rock and a hard place: when you are stuck between two difficult situations or when you are faced with having to make a difficult choice between two options neither of which is desirable!
10.-put all his eggs in one basket: examples: he put all his money into one bank or all his effort into one business venture
11.-Market went south: I have never heard of this one please ask someone else!
12.-up a creek: in a sticky/difficult or hopeless situation

I'll explain the first few.
1 "To place something at someone's doorstep" means to make something as easy as possible for someone.
2."To make waves" basically mean to make an impact, usually a significant one.
3."A bottleneck" is when something is stopped up. For example, when a highway goes from four lanes to only two, the highway bottlenecks and there's a congestion of cars.
