Could a fluent Spanish speaker review my speech?

I have to give this lecture as my final tomorrow in Spanish class. I'm a bit rusty on my tenses so I would really appreciate it if someone could sort of proofread it.

Don't take it bad, but it is almost impossible to fix your composition without rewriting almost everything. All sentences have grammar elements that don't even resemble Spanish, and some parts simply look like literal translations, which make very little sense in Spanish. It looks like you're eager to express complex thoughts, but your enthusiasm is far ahead of your knowledge of grammar (I did a quick count, and I found over 65 mistakes in the text). I know that making simple sentences for beginners can be very boring, but in trying to write like a native, you are reinventing the language, its rules and its vocabulary, and it doesn't work like that. If you want to speak like a native in a language, first you need to copy the natives, not expect that any attempt will be acceptable only because it makes sense to you. Foreign languages don't make much sense to us until we get used to them, and you still need to get used to how we speak and write.

My advice: start with the basics with a proper course, or read and listen a lot until you get a feeling for the language.

How should I rephrase my sentences? This is for my final so it's worth rewriting if need be. Thank you - Skooter_V2, Jan 12, 2011

Perdona, es un buen intento de hablar español más esa traducción no será suficiente para el final ya que tiene muchos errores y resulta difícil su comprensión. Trata de darle un mejor sentido a las palabras y no solamente tomarlas directamente del diccionario. Buena Suerte¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
