"It's us." is the correct one. Remember, you don't say "It's I" or "it's they" either, you say "it's me" and "it's them". smile

You might find this article on Pronoun case helpful.

pronoun case

Pay attention to what the author says is grammatically correct and what is actually used in casual speech after linking verbs. (predicate nominatives)

I think that the members that have replied so far might be surprised by the difference between what is gramatically correct and how we usually express it.

The choice between formal-stuffy and casual-acceptable is up to you.

Some of the more convoluted arguments in favor of archaic usage lead inevitably to a caseless language. - lorenzo9, Jan 12, 2011
The choice is up to you, but one is accompanied by public ridicule. - lorenzo9, Jan 12, 2011
I had already read about that, but you actually get corrected when You say : it is I - 00494d19, Jan 12, 2011
That's because the "rule" comes from Latin, but English doesn't. - lorenzo9, Jan 12, 2011

'This is we' is grammatically incorrect, whilst 'it's us' is correct.

Sorry, but if you are going to use "whilst" you have to stick with the public ridicule option. - lorenzo9, Jan 12, 2011
