How would I say 'I beg to differ' in Spanish?

I'm wondering if it is translated literally (pido diferir), but I highly doubt it. I'm thinking that it might be a set phrase, anybody familiar with it?

I think Ken's suggestion is fine. If I wanted to soften (make more polite) the disagreement, I might say something along the lines of "Puede que sea pero ... "
