No it is not! It should read, " I hope the spelling is right this time. " Yoy need to capitalize your sentences and put a period at the end! Thanks You'll get it hang in there! - 002262dd, Jan 10, 2011

Are you sure? - 005faa61, Jan 11, 2011
Each sentence is gramatically correct (by itself) but, taken together, they make no sense. - samdie, Jan 11, 2011

I think you lack some information about this exercise. All of the following are grammatically correct. One of them implies Andrés suffers from Alzheimer´s:

Andrés: David, ¿quién le dio el menú?

David: El mesero se lo dio.

Andrés: David, ¿quién nos dio el menú?

David: El mesero nos lo dio.

Andrés: David, ¿quién me dio el menú?

David: El mesero te lo dio.

Andrés: David, ¿quién te dio el menú?

David: El mesero me lo dio.

If this is simply an artificially constructed "conversation" to illustrate the use of pronouns, then "nos" is, certainly one solution (the other being "te" for the first sentence and "me" for the second). Grammatically, the first could be "me" and the second "te" but this would imply that the Andres was exceptionally unobservant (or had sever short-term memory problems).

In practical terms, the conversation is silly. The person that received the menu would, surely, know who gave it to him and his companion (by virtue of being at the same table) would also know.

Nos fits both sentences.

Does this question require that One pronoun be used for both blanks? Why not two answers? - pesta, Jan 11, 2011
