Smaller than usual typeface problem
Occasionally, a post on this forum appears in a small typeface. The larger typeface posts work as hyperlinks to take us to the answers to the post, but I am unable to access the answers - if any - or to post an answer to those which appear in small typeface. Apparently, some people can access them because at times I've seen that one or more answers have already been posted. I recently posted a question in the grammar section and it appeared, unintentionally on my part, in that small typeface and, as usual, it appears that it does not function as a link. Can you offer help me with this?

To access these posts, you can click on the poster´s avatar and then on the question in his/her profile. I think computer guys call this a "Back-door approach."
I wish that "Late for Dinner" was a Nick I could use for myself. It fits me perfectly. I'm an old curmudgeon whot used a stand-alone computer for business document and word processing starting about 1990. I don't remember for sure if my first Windows O.S. was 94, but my very first was MSDOS. I didn't go to the internet until about two years ago with Windows XP. Stubborn but they finally conquered me. It's now almost impossible to live without it. But, didn't get any reference material with it - seems as if Microsoft doesn 't provide the owner's with the details they used to. Anyway, thanks so very much for explaining this one. It wasn't the end of the world, but as you say an annoyance. I have the "XP For Dummies" book, but even that is sometimes too deep for me.
Here is the link to the question I asked (much less politely) on the same subject.
It is a result of using quotes, or other characters in the title or first line of the post that IE does not handle correctly- It can be fixed by switching to Firefox as a browser, or using the "backdoor" approach if you cannot switch your browser:
The answer from pesta in my thread:
Okay, I figured it out. The problem is both the server, and the browser. When the first line of the post contains quote marks ", the question link's pop-up tip text gets defined using that first sentence of the post -- and the HTML expression being used to give the browser forms bad syntax. It puts quote marks inside a quote-mark delimited expression, but does it wrong. IE doesn't figure it out, but Firefox knows how to interpret it (most of the time).
