Help! The sense of "saving" in "saving up points"

I actually need a translation for "save your points/credits"... I think the word would be the same as in saving money, but I am scared to guess or trust an automatic translator.

(I am going to be running a game where the players save up points like money in order to buy prizes.)

"acumular" or "ahorrar" might also work.

Thanks, I think we're getting close... The object is that some of the prizes are worth more points than others and maybe the kids would like to save them up. Can I get a translation for "You can choose a prize now, or save up points for later."

Thanks!!!
