Words used by specific genders
Hello everyone! Just got back from a random hiatus from my Spanish studies. They never seem to be planned, but for whatever reason after coming back certain things seem to just make sense all of a sudden.
Anyway, I had this on my mind - What types of words are used by which gender in Spanish? For example, in English the word 'pretty' generally is not used by males (especially at a younger age). Or, there are words used to describe specific sexes, such as beautiful for women and handsome for men. Does this occur in Spanish as well?
Hey, while we are at this, anyone else find intermittent breaks beneficial in your language studies?

From my studies, so far, I do seem to see a trend. When a male is being described it seems that 'guapo" is most frequent .For the females ,"bonita or hermosa. I like your question.I think I may need a short hiatus and see if it helps me.I've been studying every day for months.

I certainly do. Almost like my subconscious puts some pieces of the puzzle together while I'm not looking. ![]()
