Miami Cuban food
I'm going to Miami for a few days at the end of the month. Does anyone know of some good Cuban restaurants?

Ok... Here are 3 if you are in Miami proper.
on West Flagler and SW 52nd Avenue a fabulous can't-go-wrong place called Palacio de los Jugos. The food is open air serving and eating, with an indoor market for fresh produce, fresh juices and lots of tasty items. 5+Stars in my opinion....one of my favorites and I lived in Miami many years.
both on Calle Ocho (SW 8th ST about SW 36th Avenue) La Carreta and Versailles. If you want to have bad service and fairly good food... Go to La Carreta (which is on the south side of the street.
Just across the street and a much better environment, though I think both the atmosphere and the help are a bit sterile... but the food is awesome is Versailles. Their hot chocolate is NOT TO BE MISSED and their pastries are yummy (french/cuban style)
Also on 8th Street just off of the freeway at about 79th or so... is Sonia's Cayo Ocho (which may have changed it's name to Sonia's Seafood Market & Restaurant Just at the beginning of the Everglades, pick your own fish to be cooked on the spot... live music... tons of atmosphere and a lovely hostess, Sonia Salom. This amazing spot, like Palacio de los Jugos is "NOT TO BE MISSED" while you are in MIami.
If you miss them, don't blame me. ;-D
Let me know what you think when you come back. In fact, you should send me some food to Portland, OR via FED EX... ;-D
Disfrútalo mucho!!!!
Anyone, anyone?
