Your title question needs to be capitalized, and a question mark added. There are people learning English on this site also. - 002262dd, Jan 5, 2011
My mistake. I am a writer and usually don't use "shorthand." This is my first day on the site and I didn't realize the title would display this way. - rileywalker, Jan 5, 2011

Hi rileywalker, welcome to the forum! smile

There are millions of questions about this.

Write "ser estar" in the search part of Answers.

You could also have a look at the learning part.

The easiest rule which will cover 90% of the difference is to remember LoCo....Location and condition.....use estar. eg Estoy en la casa. Estoy mal.

Welcome to the forum!

This site provides a video lesson that describes the use of the two verbs. Here is a link to that video. It takes about 10 minutes to watch.

I believe it will help to introduce you to the use of these verbs.
