Despiden Cowboys temporada

From the newspaper. I think it says "The (Dallas) Cowboys say goodbye this season" or like "The Cowboys say goodbye for the season". How would you translate that? Gracias.

Then it says "Stephen McGee podría ser el mariscal titular ante Filadelfia"

Not sure what they mean by marisical either.

Mariscal = quarterback. Don't ask me why. I guess it's sort of like being a field marshal.

Despedir = to say goodbye to

Cowboys Say Goodbye to Season

Newspaper headline style.

Why wouldn't they say "a la temporada" doesn't that sound better? - jeezzle, Jan 4, 2011
Because it's a headline? Also, despedir means to say goodbye to, so maybe you don't need the 'a' unless it's a personal 'a'? - KevinB, Jan 4, 2011
