I'm wondering what word or words are in Spanish that describe the tissue paper used in gift bags. I'm having trouble finding a translation other than just tissue.

We say papel de traza in Puerto Rico.

Well if you show us a picture of the kind of paper you're talking about we could provide an exact name since depending on the country or the city there are different kinds of paper used to wrap gifts inside bags.
