I asked this before, but lately , I found out another sentence which is "Tienes que reunir todos estos papeles para llevarlos a la oficina."

My problem is , 1.why it's quiere usted llevarSElos a casa?? why it's llevarSElos but not llevarlos?? Can I say llevarlos instead of llevarSElos? Is it correct or wrong?

  1. Why it's Tienes que reunir todos estos papeles para llevarlos a la oficina? Why not llevarTElos a la oficina? Can I say llevarTelos a la oficina istead of llevarlos a la oficina?

If it's talking to usted: Tiene que reunir todos estos papeles para llevarSElos/llevarlos a la oficina? Which is correct?

What are the differences between them?

When should I use se or te when without?

You found this sentence? You have posted it many times already.

My problem is , 1.why it's quiere usted llevarSElos a casa?? why it's llevarSElos but not llevarlos?? Can I say llevarlos instead of llevarSElos? Is it correct or wrong?

You have asked this very question about that sentence many times, and the answer is not going to change since the last time you asked (maybe in 200 years it will change?) With SE the focus is on the person, not on the destination. That means that the books are for the person, to use them wherever this person wants. The person takes them with him/her, to keep in his/her possession for a period of time. The destination is irrelevant. "Llevarlos", on the other hand, is used then the place where the books are taken is the most relevant issue. You use this verb with SE when the person who takes them is not so important, especially if this person is not going to keep them or use them at all; when the person is just a delivery person for the important task, which is to ensure that the books end up in a particular place. Both are grammatically correct! There is no right or wrong! The difference is about the purpose of taking the books from the library. Are they for the person to use? Use SE. Are they just supposed to be taken to a place, with the person being unimportant? Don't use SE.

If a librarian tells a student "Llevarlo a casa", the student will be wondering why does he/she have to take it home. Why home? Can he/she not take it somewhere else? Can he/she not just keep it in his/her bag? It's not grammatically wrong; it just sounds confusing, because the student probably wants to keep the book, not transport it to a place and leave it there, which is what "llevarlo" suggests.

  1. Why it's Tienes que reunir todos estos papeles para llevarlos a la oficina? Why not llevarTElos a la oficina? Can I say llevarTelos a la oficina istead of llevarlos a la oficina?

The previous SE is for polite usage, with "usted", while TE is used for informal usage, with "tú". The difference between the version with TE and without is exactly the same as with SE.

In the first sentence, the emphasis is on taking the books with you--the person really doesn't care if you actually take them home or somewhere else.

In the second sentence, the emphasis is on the papers being taken to the office--who actually carries them to the office isn't the point.
