¿Tienen que ver a solas?
I'm not sure what it means, a girl is in trouble, a group of friends nearby says "Tienen que ver a solas" and the other girl says "No, tenemos que ayudarla". I guess it might mean, should they leave her alone, to her own devices? But "ver a solas" throws me. Gracias.

I guess they said either "Se tienen que ver a solas" or "Tienen que verse a solas", which means "They have to see each other alone / by themselves", or "They have to meet alone / by themselves", suggesting that one thinks that they need to solve their problems alone, while the next person suggests that we have to intervene and help them with their problems. All this is making lots of assumptions, for I don't have a context to work with.
Tienen que verse a solas" -> "No, tenemos que ayudarla
Possibly, they are connecting unaided.
After reading through dictionary entries, I am taking tener que ver to mean to have a connection or relation and a solas, unaided.
However, just looking at it, I want it to be something like: they must see to it by themselves.
???
It is a puzzler.
"a solas" means "alone" but I'm not understaning "ver" in this context.
Tienen que verse a solas" -> "No, tenemos que ayudarla
I am still unclear. Gracias.
I assume it has to do with "No tiene nada que ver con"...... "No quiero tener nada que ver con ella" etc...
The tener que / nada que ver con....... but I don't know here.
Maybe, do they have something to do with being alone? But that makes no sense. Gracias. Plus I don't get "a solas" with the plural format.. Gracias.
