Planta baja = ground floor (England) = first floor (USA, China) - you don't need stairs

Primer piso = first floor (England) = second floor (USA, China)

Segundo piso = second floor (England) = third floor (USA, China)

Tercer piso = third floor (England) = fourth floor (USA, China)

You can also say "planta" instead of "piso", but then is "primera planta", "segunda planta",...

The ground floor = planta baja The second floor = el segundo piso (piso = floor)

third = tercero, fourth = cuarto, fifth = quinto, sixth = sexto, seventh = séptimo, eight = octavo, nineth = noveno, tenth = décimo (piso)

eg; on the seventh floor = en el séptimo piso.

Hope you understood all of this, if not, just ask smile
