Another meaning is "not excuses", e.g.

  • Niños, ¡a comer! Y no quiero escuchar "peros"

The word "pero" has several definitions listed in the dictionary. The meaning will need to be determined by the context of the sentence and dialog.

It can be a noun meaning "snag" or "fault". It can be a conjunction meaning "yet".

Context is important.
