I would use "pacas". ¿Cuántas pacas de heno quedan luego de 10 días?

Yes it is but bala/s can also mean bullet/s in many different compound sentences so perhaps to avoid confusion it would be better to use pacas? - FELIZ77, Dec 29, 2010
