This site requires correct grammar, capitalization, and punctuation due to we have members learning English also. I merely capitalized the D and added a ?. Cheers. - webdunce, Dec 29, 2010

"¿Tienes un novio?" sounds a bit weird in Spanish. We tend to say "¿Tienes novio?"

I almost put that, but, after much deliberation, decided to put the article...argh! - webdunce, Dec 29, 2010

Hi filyacas,

The phrase is ¿Tienes un novio?

Hi filyacas,

¿Usted tiene un novio (or novia) ? would also be correct as far as I know. This is a more formal way of asking if one has a boy or a girl friend. But again, the nature of the question is a bit informal, isn't it ? smile
