''accept'' icon
I see in some of the answers an''accept'' icon in green. I do not however, find an explanation of it anywhere in the website ( so far) please enlighten me in the use of the ''accept'' icon. Thanks

If you ask a question you can 'accept' one of the responses as the best answer to that question. The person who posted the answer receives 20 reputation points.
Unwritten etiquette means that normally you wait some period of time for a few people to answer before accepting a response as 'the best', but that's not required, of course. It's just that we've seen some newcomers accept completely wrong responses as the best before anyone else had a chance to chime in. I think in many cases the person who asked the question never bothered to check back for more responses.
Hi Paco, you can search 'accept button' for a good explanation but in essence it allows 'you' to choose the best answer that you have received - and the person who has posted the answer gets a bonus 20 points! Whoo-hoo!!
