What is "Perderte"?

I heard the word "Perderte" in a Spanish song but there are no results for it in the dictionary. What does this word mean?

The song is La Tortura by Shakira, if that helps.

(Ay amor fue una tortura... Perderte)

The infinitive of the verb is perderse. When you find verbs with me, te and nos endings, replace that ending with se (the non-conjugated form) when you want to search for it, and Bob's your uncle.

Alternatively just search for the non-reflexive verb (removing the me, te, nos ending), in this case perder. The dictionary should list the reflexive variety of the verb along with the plain variety.

Just make sure that "Bob's your uncle" is translated for the native Spanish speakers. In this case it means, "There you have it." - JoyceM, Dec 28, 2010
I put that in to provoke, I was waiting for someone to take the bait :-). The roots of the phrase are intersting... - afowen, Dec 28, 2010
