seguir is a stem changing verb also know as a "go" verb because the present tense of Yo form is SIGO.

segir - infinitive

sigue - él/ella/usted present tense

sigas - it the imperative of the verb seguir.

sigo - the present tense of Yo

sigamos - this is not the present tense of the subject Nosotros which is seguimos. but instead it is the imperative of the verb.

thus to say don't follow me in spanish is:

¡No me sigas!
