¿Puedes ayudarme?

I wish to say: 'and even in the great institutions that this country (more so our goverment) prides itself upon, the very pillars that are meant to support the integrity of our country....', but I don't know how to say the 'prides itself upon' part.

I've got this so far:

'Todavía en las grandes instituciones que este país (efectivamente solo (I couldn't find an equivalent in Spanish to 'more so') nuestro gobierno) se enorgullece, los pilares mismos que están significado para soportar la integridad de nuestro país'

Thank you very much....I really need help, and I'll gladly appreciate anything that you give.

I will add one thing... 'grandes' must be before 'instituciones' for it to mean 'great'. When it comes after, it just means big or large. - NikkiLR, Dec 25, 2010

How about instead of ''todavía en las grandes instituciones..." you put "e incluso en las grandes instituciones"...

'Todavía' is more along the lines of 'still' or 'yet'...

'Incluso' translates to 'even'...

And for 'more so our goverment' you could put 'principalmente el gobierno'...

Some ideas:

or

Saying that I have not studied Spanish much and am not fluent...
