Proofread: My favourite Christmas tradition

Hi, I posted this under the 'What is your favourite Christmas tradition' question.

Would you check and advise on my attempt at translation please.

For me it's the tradition of togetherness and the heightened spirit of giving and goodwill that I suppose comes about by virtue of the fact that so many individuals share these festive norms. We share more in common than usual (many people celebrating and feeling happy for it) and for that, feel closer to our fellow man (said in a non-gender-specific manner).

I've not made myself an easy task in the translation. Help please...

Para mí es la tradición de unión y el espiritu mayor del acto de dar (???) y buena voluntad que, supongo, pasa por el hecho que tantas individuales comparten estas normas festivas. Tenemos mas en común de lo usual (con mucha gente celebrando y por eso, sientiendose feliz), y por eso, sentimos mas cerca de los prójimos

Nice. I would change just a few things.

Para mí es la tradición de unión y el espiritu mayor del acto de dar de si mismo y la buena voluntad que, supongo, viene por el hecho de que tantas individuales comparten estas normas festivas. Tenemos más en común de lo usual (con mucha gente celebrando y por eso, sientiendose feliz), y por eso, sentimos más cerca a la solidaridad humana.
