Is it correct to say "Qué tipo de música te gusta"? How about "Cuales bandas te gustan más" ¡Gracias por ayudarme!

The first one is correct.
"¿Cuáles bandas te gustan más?" is not correct, but you may hear it anyway. The correct question would be "¿Qué bandas te gustan más?"
