I realise that you're not a native English speaker, as you're Algerian...so I'm sorry for correcting you. - Seb79, Dec 23, 2010
In Spanish or in English? - Seb79, Dec 23, 2010

it is a pronounced like the english k, unless it is followed by an 'e' or an 'i', in which case the "correct" way if you ask many Spaniards is as a 'thuh' sound (pretend you have a lisp), but in Latin America and many parts of Spain it is just an 's' sound. The same goes with the spanish 'z'. Spaniards like to point out that this can lead to confusion by making different words sounds the same, eg poso and pozo.

When 'c' is followed by 'e'/'i', if you use the seseo, then pronounce it exactly like the 's', otherwise, pronounce it exactly like the 'z' (of Spanish). When 'c' is followed by 'a'. 'o', 'u' pronounce it like the 'k' of Spanish.

where is the problem if i'm a beginner Mr Seb79 ???????? - saddi, Dec 23, 2010
I thought that you wanted to know how to pronounce 'c' in English, because you've stated that you're a beginner. I wasn't sure how advanced your English might be, so I'm sorry if it has come across in a rude way. - Seb79, Dec 23, 2010
"Thsay" simply will not work Unless one is using the "seseo", there is no hint of an "s". - samdie, Dec 23, 2010
